Howdy! I'm Ms. Hamby and am the newest addition to the Grand Oaks FFA Advisor team! I am a graduate of Texas A&M '18 where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science. Soon after I pursued my teaching certification via alternative certification. I previously taught for 4 years at Bastrop High School where I taught a wide variety of classes that include: Principles of Ag, Floral Design, Livestock Production, Advanced Animal Science, Veterinary Medical Applications, and Practicum of Ag. While there I also trained all Creed Speakers, Chapter Conducting, Senior Ag Skills Demo, Horse Judging, Vet Med, Livestock Judging, and Wildlife.

Here at Grand Oaks I currently teach Principles of Ag and Floral Design. I also train both GH and Sr. Chapter Conducting, Wildlife, and Horse Judging. I am also responsible for overseeing Cattle projects.

Some of my hobbies include hunting, fishing, reading, seeing movies and cooking! I love spending time doing these things with my fiance, Steven and my bonus daughter, Blaykleigh!
